The Winter Elections Conference is sponsored by the School of Government and the NC State Board of Elections and Ethics Enforcement. The conference focuses on law and practical skills for elections directors and elections office employees. 

In accordance with G.S. §163-82.24(a), conference attendance is mandatory for individuals in the following categories:

-          County Elections Directors

-          County Board Members who are within 6 months of their initial appointment who have not yet attended a conference

-          County Board Members who are within the window of 6 months - 2 years of service who have not yet attended a conference within that same timeframe
