In re P.A., 241 N.C. App. 53 (2015)

Held:
No Error
  • The cross-examination of the respondent about a neglect adjudication of one of her other children was not objected to. Although the neglect adjudication in the previous action was reversed and the case was dismissed, the cross-examination was not fundamentally unfair because it was used to demonstrate respondent’s prior history with DSS and was not related to the legal conclusions in that other case.
  • Because respondent did not object to unsworn testimony of one witness, the issue may not be argued on appeal.
