The NC Association of Chiefs of Police, along with the UNC School of Government and the North Carolina Judicial College, are presenting a webinar entitled Policing Special Events: How to Prevent a New Orleans Style Tragedy.

This webinar will feature a panel of experienced law enforcement leaders talking about the unique threats and challenges posed by large special events such as festivals, street fairs, and sporting events. The panelists will address questions such as: How can agencies staff these events adequately in a world of limited resources? Which costs can be passed on to event organizers? Are there new technologies that can make special events safer?
