Leading for Results - Civic Fellows

Applications for 2025 Cohorts are open from March 1st-June 1st.
With the generous support of the Civic Federal Credit Union, individuals selected as Civic Fellows will receive this program tuition-free.
The Leading for Results program develops local government leaders. The fall program meets for two one-week sessions with a cohort of 25 participants (there will be two offerings this fall). The intensive two-week program at Chapel Hill aims to enhance personal and organizational leadership skills and competencies. Participants complete the program with a deeper understanding of the leadership strengths, skills for improving their organizations, and a renewed passion for public service.
Individuals admitted to this program will attend as Civic Fellows. Civic Fellows are a select group of individuals who represent the future of North Carolina local government leadership. Civic Fellows participate in the Leading for Results course, receive individual coaching, join the alum network, and attend events tuition-free. Travel and lodging are the responsibility of the participants' jurisdiction.

Attendees
Local government professionals throughout North Carolina who are in leadership positions and looking to advance their leadership roles. These include managers and assistant managers, administrators, department heads and senior staff, assistants and directors, and executives.
Attendance
Participants must attend all sessions and events, including some evening events. Full participation is needed for participants to get the most out of this experience. A sample agenda can be found under the materials tab.
