
Teshanee Williams
Teshanee Williams is an assistant professor of public administration and government at the School of Government. She specializes in nonprofit management, partnerships between nonprofits and local governments, and community engagement. In her role at the School, Williams conducts research and teaches courses related to nonprofit management, nonprofit and local government relations, contract management, community engagement, and program evaluation. Her work bridges academic insights with practical applications, guiding students, public officials, and community leaders on effective collaboration and governance strategies.
She joined the School of Government in 2021. Previously, she received a UNC-Chapel Hill Carolina Postdoctoral Program Faculty Development Fellowship and served as a research fellow with the UNC School of Government from 2019–2021. Her career goal is to produce research that helps to bridge the divide between theory and practice. Williams earned her MPA and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.
