Basic Economic Development
This annual course provides intensive instruction
on the fundamentals of economic development practice. It is a four-day
introductory training course designed for economic development professionals
employed by public, civic, or private development agencies and individuals
new to the field. It is also appropriate for more experienced professionals
seeking to update their skills. The course is a comprehensive educational experience
that integrates theoretical and practical perspectives on economic development
and provides participants with the background needed to organize, plan,
